    Acid House

Acid house designs by Future Past, the music scene that exploded in the UK in 1987 - a sub-genre of house music made by chicago producers using the Roland TB-303 with the defining "squelch" bass lines.  Clubs like Shoom in London ran by the legendary DJ Danny Rampling, and the Hacienda in Manchester, and many illegal raves in fields and warehouses turned acid house into a nationwide phenomenon and was vilified by The Sun newspaper and subsequently the conservative party with their infamous "repetitive beats" act, effectively banning anyone from ever having fun.. :o) Didn't work though, we're still dancing to repetitive beats...
